Paws – Advanced Open Water

There are many internationally recognized dive certification agencies. Some of the better known are BSAC, CMAS, IDSA, NAUI, PADI, RAID, SDI and SSI. They all certify according to the same ISO standards and they all recognize each other’s certifications.

We certify with 2 of those agencies: PADI and RAID

The differences are small, but we recommend RAID for the following reasons:

With RAID you can start learning the theory online before arriving on Koh Chang leaving more time to train practical skills. RAID doesn’t use any books and virtually no carbon footprint. You will have life long access to your RAID account (free of charge) and will always be able to see the most updated theory. www.diveraid.com

RAID is cheaper because it is more efficient and less profit oriented.

RAID costs 11500 Baht, PADI 13000 Baht

These prices include pick-up and drop-off at your hotel (west coast only), all necessary dive equipment (including dive computer), refreshments, lunch buffet, snacks and fruit on the boat, insurance and professional guidance by an experienced instructor. Marine park entry fees 400 Baht for divers and 200 baht for snorkelers and passengers are not included and are collected by the Park Rangers in the park. There is no entry fee on days that we dive on the HTMS Chang and local reefs.

Attached some info about dive certifications and this might help as well to decide:
